STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK: Autumn Vibes

It’s finally and officially fall! The next biggest trend is already underway and we’ve barely even tapped into it. We’ll probably never tire of wearing all black, but on those days that we’re just sick of the same old dark attire, there’s only one solution. Minimalism is in and it’s found its way to the streets of Georgia State’s campus. With chic intentions like this Fashionista’s look, there’s no way you won’t look stylish and urban-chic.

Are you trés trés in love yet? Solid pieces like these are the pinnacle of fall fashion; now that it’s trickled down from the runways of fashion week, ‘tis the season to rock the campus courtyard. Her vintage-inspired felt hat is an ideal transition piece into fall and her maroon top complements it perfectly. Beige and burgundy are two of my favorite colors to pair together, so this matchup has me drifting off to dreamland.

It’s effortless style such as this that rectifies any doubt you have of throwing on different colored tones with ease. Shades of taupe, black, gray and olive green are the go-to colors of fall, as well as, several shades of red, yellow, pink and powder blue. Mixing and matching a tonal palette like this has a sort of high fashion appeal that we all want to accomplish in our street style.

I adore this Fashionista’s style when it comes to combining minimal clothing with faded cargo skinny jeans and black, leather booties. Adding in her chunky gold watch brings attention to her dark-colored nails, which all together gives the outfit a trendy, autumn look and feel.

What is your STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK? “Don’t feel hesitant to play with opposite sides of the spectrum. I love to wear all black one day and amp it up with modest colors the next. It’s the most fun when you find out what works for you.”
