STYLE ADVICE: Day to Night

Let’s be honest, who doesn’t love an outfit that you can take from day to night? Anything to make our hectic lives as college students easier is a must. Ease and comfortability when it comes to fashion is something that everyone wants and it’s something that everyone can accomplish. You may not think this way just yet, and it may take some practice, but it takes approximately 21 days to form a habit. Before you know it, with some advice you’ll be thinking like a smart Fashionista.

I was drawn to this Fashionista for the obvious reason, her outfit is cute and super on trend with her Steve Madden over-the-knee boots in the color beige. This Fashionista also has a mix of neutrals that make this outfit standout in the everlasting gloomy skies of winter here in Ohio. This Fashionista is sporting a Free People sweater dress, in light beige to keep her warm, and to complement the darker tone of her boots. To finalize the look, this Fashionista is wearing a pair of silver hoops which, believe it or not, are from Limited Too. She is also wearing a few accent rings to add a little spice to the day look.

Now, to take this look to a nighttime affair, she could easily swap out her beige over the knee boots a pair of heeled over-the-knee boots in black or a sock fit bootie. Then to add an element of edge to conquer the night scene, this Fashionista could add a leather jacket draped over her shoulders and a stunning clutch to carry all of her nighttime essentials. For the finale, she could add her favorite shade of matte liquid lipstick in an effort to add a soft touch to catch the eye of those passing by.

It’s easy to take pretty much any outfit from day to night with a few simple changes. These are all things that you could throw in your trunk or an extra bag before you leave for class or work knowing you won’t have much time to change before heading out for the night. Remember, accessories are your friends, but a little bit goes a long way!
