Simplify Your Nighttime Skincare Routine With These 3 Steps

If you’re anything like me, you don’t have too much time for a well-thought-out nighttime skincare routine. This is simply because a) I have way too many things to be worrying about and b) I wait until the last minute to do my work—to the point where I’m having to pry my eyes open just to make it to bed. This is exactly why you don’t want to worry about completing a long list of bedtime tasks—and why I’ve compiled a list of tips to make getting ready for bed a cinch.

Simplify

I like to use micellar water when I don’t really feel like making the long trek to the floor bathrooms. This product is great because not only does it remove your makeup, but it also cleanses your skin while doing it. Boom—you’ve just cut out a major step that requires a sink and a bathroom mirror. Now you can do this all in the comfort of your own room. I usually like to follow this up with a toner, like this one, just to remove any leftover residue that the micellar water didn’t pick up.

Use Sheet Masks

On those days when your skin is just not having it, sheet masks are a great way to simplify your skincare routine. They usually recommend leaving them on for about 30 minutes. This is great because you can still get ready for bed. This could be finishing up last minute homework, scrolling through your late-night Instagram posts, or just chilling with a good book, while still taking care of your skin at the same time—hands-free! The best part? You just peel it right back off, massage the remaining serum into your face, and you’re almost done.

Moisturizer is Key

When you’ve been pulling all-nighters just to get all those assignments in, your skin is getting dried out and dull. To combat this, swipe on a heavy-duty repairing cream before bed to really seal in all those amazing ingredients. It helps if it smells amazing too, like this one. I usually finish off with any spot treatment or eye cream, and I’m good to go. Just throw your hair up in a bun and jump into bed.

Your skin will be thanking you the next morning when you wake up bright-eyed with glowing skin! Not only will you feel more confident, but you’ll also be taking care of your skin in the long run!
