FASHION FROM ABROAD: Boston Bound

This past week I had the opportunity to go explore Boston, Massachusetts. My brother goes to school there, so I try to make it to visit every year. Boston has such a different vibe than New York City, so it’s a great place to escape to. The architecture and city life is reflected into how people there dress, especially compared to NYC. There is a preppy feel to their outfits.

Every time that I go to Boston, I try to see something new, so this time, I went to the aquarium which is right by the wharf. Luckily for me, the weather had just started to take a turn for fall so everyone was bringing out their coats and sweaters.

I spotted this Fashionisto by the water that day, and I just had to take a picture of his outfit. He perfectly embodied the fall weather that I was so excited for. What caught my attention to his outfit was his patterned sweater that he was wearing. The reds, oranges and browns were just like the fall leaves changing in the parks throughout Boston. The colors were also very nice against his complexion. He balanced this sweater with a brown leather jacket. The jacket had more of a distressed brown color that I really loved because it didn’t have the typical shiny coating on it. The jacket also had very nice detailing to it with the exposed zippered pockets and the zippers on the sleeves. He finished the outfit with a darker wash skinny jean and his brown leather boots. An aspect of this outfit that I thought was really cool was that he wasn’t afraid to mix different shades of brown leather. The boots and jacket perfectly complemented each other.
