CollegeFashionista Spring Trend Forecast

March 19th, 2015 at 2:00am

The weather has (finally) started to warm up. The snow is melting. It is feasible to show your ankles and not get frostbite. You know what that means? Spring is here and our closets have never been happier.

Much like the blooming flowers outside, this season seems to be dominated by fresh trends. From matching sets to elevated basics, the fashion is just as bright as the season.

Two of the trends we are really into for spring are the boho revival and matchy-matchy looks that have been majorly popular in street style lately. One of our favorite retailers, Nordstrom, seems to agree! Nordstrom has highlighted some of these trends and more their latest e-catalog. They took the best from BP., Savvy, Topshop and more to create a one-stop spot for new trends, everyday basics and denim at prices for every college Fashionista.

Our CollegeFashionista Style Gurus are “springing” into this season’s trends with the help of Nordstrom. Here’s how to recreate their looks:

-White-on: Whoever said white was reserved just for the time between Memorial Day and Labor Day was sorely mistaken. White-on-white is our favorite color combo—especially for spring. Pair a white lace pencil skirt with this knit sweater for a fun play on textures while remaining true to the color palette. Don’t forget a neutral pair of sandals to finish off the look!

-Bohemian nior: Festival season is right around the corner. Take your daytime concert look to night with this new twist on the traditional boho trend. Try flaunting this gauzy slipdress with a leather fringe jacket for a look that says, “I’m with the band.” No bohemian look would be complete without a great pair of Chelsea boots!

Check out the Nordstrom e-catalog for further trend-spiration! Be sure to shop these spring looks and more trends online now.
