These Are The Best Winter Bronzers If You’re Seriously Missing Summer

Bronzers you need if you're seriously missing summer

We are well into winter and that only means one thing: I’m missing summer…a lot. Recently, I was reminiscing about this last summer’s adventures and there was one thing I missed more than anything. It wasn’t the weather, nor was it not having any academic responsibilities. It was my tan. That summer glow you can only get from being outside all day every day. I’m not into synthetic tanners, as I’ve never seemed to be able to master them and always end up streaky and orange. This means I’m back into my ghostly pale state where I remain for a solid nine months of the year. Summer is long gone and if you’re anything like me I’m assuming that your summer glow is as well. Have no fear, I’m here to help. I’ve rounded up the eight best winter bronzers you need to maintain that summer goddess glow all year long.

Best Winter Bronzers for the Perfect Instagram Shimmer

My perfect winter bronzer formula includes a shimmery bronzer that combines great color payoff and a killer glow. The best drugstore option I’ve found so far is the e.l.f Bronzer Palette ($7). Consisting of four beautiful, blendable, and glowy colors, this palette is great for those gloomy winter days.

If you want a bronzer that’s a one-stop shop when it comes to shimmer, try the Milani Baked Bronzer ($10). My roommate swears by this creamy powder formula for a glow that will withstand the cold.

Best Winter Bronzers with Amazing Color Payoff

The Too Faced Chocolate Soleil Matte Bronzer ($34) is a holy grail bronzer that friends of mine will forever swear by. This formula comes in both matte and shimmer finishes, but I’ve found that matte formula has the best pigmentation and leaves the skin with a warm, sun-kissed complexion. What’s not to love about that?

How could I possibly curate a list of bronzers without including the Benefit Hoola Matte Bronzer ($30)? What makes this bronzer the one to have this winter season? Great pigmentation, a perfect warm-toned shade that’s never too orange, and the blending capability of your dreams. I’ve honestly never heard a complaint about this one.

Best Winter Bronzers for Those on a Budget

The NYX Professional Makeup Matte Bronzer ($9) is a drugstore staple I’ve relied on for years. The matte formula can double as a contour powder and a bronzer, and the color payoff is way too good for this pick to only be $5. I will say that I’ve struggled a bit with the blending of this bronzer, but with the right fluffy brush, it blends into a perfect summer glow.

Another great drugstore option for a matte bronzer is the Rimmel Natural Bronzer ($4). It’s mostly matte but has the slightest shimmer to add depth. This bronzer has become a winter staple of mine. I find that when used with a stippling brush, this bronzer adds the perfect wash of color that blends effortlessly.

Best Winter Bronzers That Are Worth the Splurge

The Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Matte Bronzer ($56) is another one of the best winter bronzers where the price tag matches the quality. This bronzer makes me feel like my best summer self. It smells leaves the most perfect sun-kissed, natural glow, so what more could you want? Plus, it’s literally the size of your face. So have no fear, this one will last you a while.

As far as contouring goes, you can’t get any better than the Kevyn Aucoin Sculpting Powder ($38). Yes it’s more expensive than most, but the lasting quality of this product makes the price worth it. I have yet to find a contouring bronzer that blends as seamlessly, looks as natural, and leaves me looking as chiseled as one of the Hadid sisters. Do with this testimonial what you will.
