BEAUTY BAR: Smokey Shadows

I always feel like a kid on Christmas when fall rolls around. Summer is always great, but the humidity and sweatiness that comes along with it isn’t. Because of the heat, I like to keep makeup as minimal as possible. With fall, I get a chance to revamp my whole look. The chance to rock darker lipstick and cool tone makeup is an extremely appealing one. It goes without saying that celebrities always know the hottest fall trends, so it is reasonable for us to turn to them for inspiration. When I spotted this Fashionista, I was immediately drawn to her Kylie Jenner-esque smokey eyes and pouty lips.

Our Fashionista went easy on the contouring and focused on the highlights in order to create more luminous skin. Her smokey eyes and her mascara really make her eyes pop and stand out. She used a lip liner and nude lipstick to get that fuller lips effect. Although I initially stopped my Fashionista because of her makeup, her outfit also really stood out to me. Her naturally curled ombré hair perfectly complements her dewy glowed skin. She paired her destroyed denim boyfriend jeans with an adidas rose gold Logo T-shirt. The Nike sneakers were the perfect way to complete this outfit. It gives off a street style vibe and makes her look put together without looking like she tried too hard. To accessorize, our Fashionista donned a chunky gold chain necklace, a watch and Tory Burch earrings.

What’s on the BEAUTY BAR: Like the little black dress, the smokey eye is timeless. Recreate this look by using NYX’s Natural Palette. Use a dark brown or black shadow for the liner and just smoke it out as you normally would with eyeliner. The reason for this is to not mess up when making the winged line. Use Carbon Black mascara from L’Oreal. If you want your lips to look fuller, try Rimmel’s lip liner in Epic. This liner is almost identical to MAC’s whirl, which is what Kylie Jenner uses. Start out by tracing the outer edge of your lip line to create a border. This will help prevent your lip color from bleeding.
