BEAUTY BAR: Fresh Faced for Spring

I’ll admit, the first thing that drew me to this Fashionista was her outfit. I absolutely loved the denim on denim look. The double denim is an outfit that’s not often pulled off very well, but this style maven did a great job of keeping it fun! The buttons added a cool, unique touch and were an awesome way to personalize the outfit. Not only were the buttons a fun touch, but the personalized necklaces, high-waisted, cuffed shorts, and trendy sneakers also helped keep it young and fresh.

The makeup was kept super fresh as well, and that’s what really sold me on this fashionable co-ed’s awesome look. The clean and glowy skin, nude lip, and big, bouncy hair absolutely screams spring! With the weather getting warmer, it’s a nice change to be able to put the heavy foundation down and leave the smoky eyes behind.

Spring is the time to let your more natural side show, just like this Fashionista did. Leave the flat iron at home. Leave the heavy, mattifying powders behind, and let your natural skin shine. Embrace the glow! Stop with the cream contouring and fleeky Instagram brows. Let your flaws and quirks be the star of the show. With the onset of warm weather and plenty of sunshine, it’s easy to keep it low key. I would recommend sticking to a tinted moisturizer or light coverage foundation, a light, nude lip, and natural, bouncy hair. But don’t forget about the highlighter! Spring is the perfect time to go full on with glow, so don’t be shy with the highlight. This beauty guru told me she layered a liquid highlighter first, and then topped that off with a powder formula for extra shine!
