BEAUTY BAR: "Fall"ing For You

December 2nd, 2016 at 2:00am

Autumn season: there is just something about the changing color of leaves and colder weather that makes this season incredibly pleasant. It is a time for visiting pumpkin patches, baking apple pies, watching scary movies with friends and drinking a plethora amount of pumpkin spice lattes. It is also a time for college students to begin taking midterm exams. This makes it hard for college students to get ready for class after a long night of studying. However, I think it is super important to put effort into your appearance to look presentable in all your classes and club meetings.

Sometimes all it takes is a little bit of eyeshadow to make you look refreshed and brighten up your look. Eyeshadows are a staple for every Fashionista/o’s makeup considering that eyes are an important facial feature. It can help compliment your eye color and add dimension to your eyes. The more colors you blend together from your eyeshadow palette, the more your eyes pop and make a dramatic statement. This Fashionista wanted to make a statement and look lively for her 8 a.m. lecture so she chose to blend three colors together. I absolutely love how this Fashionista used colors inspired by autumn leaves. Colors she used in her palette are shimmery gold, brown and orange.

This Fashionista created this look with her current favorite: Morphe 35OS Shimmer Color Palette. This palette has such romantic shades and works with all skin tones. The shadows are highly pigmented, which will help the colors pop out more. The palette comes with a plethora amount of shadows that can easily be mixed together making it a necessary palette for all Fashionista/os.

To keep up with the “fall leaves” theme from her eyeshadow, this Fashionista wore a long sleeve maroon dress. She paired it with her thrifted black booties. I like how she wore solid colors for her eyeshadow to pop. This Fashionista’s look shows us how we can incorporate the autumn season into our style and beauty routine.

To recreate this trend, you will need a shimmering colors-based palette. NYX Love in Paris and Covergirl TruNaked are two affordable eyeshadow palettes similar to the Morphe 35OS! Do not be afraid to mix up colors to recreate a fun look. However, make sure to always blend the shadows to keep your eyeshadow looking soft.
