BEAUTY BAR: Blast from the Lash

If you’re anything like me, makeup almost seems like a foreign language and unfortunately, I am not bilingual. Before college, I rarely ever put on any makeup, aside from the occasional couple strokes of mascara before heading out. Luckily, since then, I like to think I’ve become more knowledgeable in the makeup department.

While I realize that makeup really is great and can work wonders on just about anyone, I find that those who seem to always catch my attention are the ones who have found the perfect balance. They have mastered the art of makeup by utilizing this amazing tool, while also keeping confidence in their natural beauty. These people have found the perfect way to use makeup as a tool to highlight their naturally beautiful features; something that I wish I were better at. Natural features that can be beautifully accentuated with makeup include anything from eyebrow and lip shape to eye color and lash length.

This art can be particularly difficult to master, because it really is all about finding the balance. Applying too much makeup risks hiding your best features, while not applying enough or applying makeup in the wrong places may not give the desired results.

This Fashionista, has definitely mastered the balance. She caught my attention with her show-stopping eyelashes and perfectly applied eye shadow; showing off her most flattering features and drawing attention to her eyes. With a naturally tan complexion, she rarely uses any bronzers, but uses blush to highlight her bright smile.

Paired with the perfect outfit, this beauty look is sure to turn heads. For those like me, this Fashionista can teach us a thing or two about finding that tough balance and finding the best tools to emphasize our most attractive features.
