BEAUTY BAR: Be Bold

As Simon Doonan has said, “conformity is the only real fashion crime. To not dress like yourself and to sublimate your spirit to some kind of group identity is succumbing to fashion fascism.” Dramatic winged eyeliner and undone messy hair can not only bring out someone’s stylish sense of beauty, but can also show off a bold personality. Personally, I am simple, never veering far from my subtle silver or gold eyeshadow, which makes me love this Fashionista’s look even more. This look, and so many others, inspire me to be different and to learn to try new things. Whether you are going out shopping for the day or turning this into an evening look, I promise it can be done.

The color black is so timeless, and all black ensembles are all the rage right now. How easy is that? Throw on some black skinny jeans, a cute black shirt, some combat boots or booties and a necklace for a fierce and fabulous look. Complementing an all-black outfit with your beauty look can be difficult to do. I like how this Fashionista highlights her eyes with thick black eyeliner and then adds a slight touch of color with a dark burgundy lipstick; this allows you to create an edgy look with a feminine touch.

This Fashionista’s rustled hair is done by letting her hair air dry and then spraying a little bit of Batiste dry shampoo to add volume; cool trick, right? Flipping your hair, messing it up at the roots and then flipping it back up is the key to this tousled look. She adds some Rusk hairspray to give her hair the ultimate messy look.

What’s on the BEAUTY BAR: For this look, you can stick to your favorite foundation and a little touch of bronzer. To create a bold winged eyeliner, use a thick eyeliner over a darker gray or black eyeshadow. Pick whichever lipstick you are most comfortable wearing to add a little color to this look. Don’t forget about this Fashionista’s #RAD messy hair tips and don’t be afraid to be bold.
