BEAUTY BAR: All Natural

Growing up, makeup was something all the girls experimented with. Being able to change your appearance was something so intriguing, but at a young age, we often do not know how to apply makeup properly, so we end up looking like raccoons. As I was guilty of this, I always remembered some advice given to D.J. Tanner in a Full House episode. The wise words were, “The point of wearing makeup is to look like you are not wearing any.” These words stuck with me throughout the years, and since then, I have been drawn to more subtle makeup looks.

Natural beauty is better. As cheesy as it may sound, I truly believe we are all beautiful, thus we should not try and hide under layers of foundation and eyeliner. In some cases, less is more, this being one of those cases. For an everyday look, natural makeup is important and so easily achievable. We can recreate the look from the most minimal of products; my go-to always being a tube of mascara and some lip balm.

This Fashionista rocks her subtle makeup look so effortlessly. She wears only products to enhance her natural features, creating a beautiful look that matches perfectly with her simple spring dress and light jewelry. She has been able to achieve the advice from Aunt Becky, advice that should be passed down to young girls experimenting with their makeup.

What’s on the BEAUTY BAR: To complete this look, a good mascara is a must, I like this one from NARS. The Naked Palette has the most perfect colors to fit in with a natural vibe, and, of course, a simple light pink lipstick that matches your skin tone.
