ALL IN THE DETAILS: Winter Fringe

The cold weather has finally arrived in the Northeast and with it, the excitement of finally breaking out our prized winter apparel. It feels like Christmas, but a couple weeks early.; however, better than opening holiday presents is being able to transition your beloved summer staples into your fall ensembles. This Fashionista was able to do just that; she took her festival-inspired purse and effortlessly incorporated it into her weather appropriate outfit.

This Fashionista’s purse is super fun because it adds texture and movement to her outfit. The fringe is on-trend, as the ‘70s are making a revival. Flowy blouses, bell-bottom jeans, felt hats and jumpsuits can be seen on most Fashionistas, from the girl next door to celebrities. The black color of her purse gives the outfit a classic touch and helps balance out the bohemian fringe element.

She paired her statement purse with ripped skinny jeans and killer pointed toe booties. For the top portion of her outfit, she selected a tailored gray checkered coat over a black sweater. The gray and black tones exude sophistication. This Fashionista finished off the look with a black knit beanie and aviator sunglasses. These accessories helped bring a casual air to a sophisticated look. The outfit is the perfect balance of practicality and elegance for class or lunch with a friend.

How To: This outfit is quite simple to emulate. Stick to dark colors as the base of the outfit. Then add a purse, embellished with fringe, in a similar color. If dark colors aren’t your thing, start with neutral colors and add a fringe purse in a related hue.
