ALL IN THE DETAILS: Tassels Transitioned

Fall is my favorite season of all and while I enjoy pumpkin everything and crunchy, colored leaves on the ground, I love it for another reason, too. Autumn is the time to transition your wardrobe into a colder season. This means that dress you’ve been wearing all summer can also transition into your fall wardrobe, as well. In the summer, when you’re trying to escape the heat, you want minimal clothing. So, you’ll throw on your sandals and sunglasses and try not to sweat too much. During the fall, you have so much more leeway with your outfits—and layering is the perfect way to achieve your fall fashion look! Adding a cardigan or jacket to your outfit can make your summer staples more cold weather appropriate.

This Fashionista has been wearing this tassel dress all summer. With tassels being one of this past summer’s trends, she wasn’t quite ready to give it up. By ditching the sandals she usually wore with this outfit and adding flats and a denim jacket, it suddenly transitioned into the perfect, simple, fall outfit! Sometimes you just aren’t in the mood to put on jeans and three layers of tops. That is where dresses come in. Even when it gets colder, you can still wear your favorite dress, but with tights and over-the-knee boots. Still too cold? Invest in a sweater dress that will appear in your closet year after year.

How To: Not everyone wants tassels to be the star of their outfit. Perhaps it’s too bold for you or you’re not sure if it’s your style. There are still tons of ways to get this kind of look, even if you’re not willing to be totally tasseled. Try tassel earrings, bracelets, or a necklace like this Fashionista did. The great thing about tassels is that they can be a huge part of an outfit or just an accessory. They can even be found on wallets, purses and shoes. Keep your eye out for this trend, because it’s not going anywhere!
