ALL IN THE DETAILS: Sassy in a Scarf

I can’t begin to describe how cold it is right now, it may be spring but it feels like it is the dead of winter. This past weekend I went to New York City to window shop, go to some shows and visit art galleries when I ran into this Fashionista in the Lower East Side. It was -20-degrees and looking cute was one of the last things on my mind, when I ran into my Fashionista I knew it was still achievable. The wind chill was not helping, but she perservered and won the award for the cutest and warmest Fashionista for that bone chilling cold day. I asked to photograph her as soon as her gold, silk scarf caught my eye from across the street.

She was classy in black on black and she had a silk, golden scarf tied around her hair like a headband. She had black ankle booties, black skinny jeans, a warm button up jacket with a fur lined hood, a black knit circle scarf and a little leather purse with gold hardware. The look was so simple but with that added hair accessory she killed the Fashionista game. If you’re looking for that extra little punch to your outfit try out a simple, classic hair accessory like this.

How To: You can rock a scarf around your head if you’re shooting for a hippie style, you can braid it into your hair for a unique woven look or you can go for a classic 1950s look with your scarf tied like a headband like this Fashionista!
