ALL IN THE DETAILS: Rainy Days and Mondays

March 28th, 2016 at 2:10am

Toronto’s harsh winter was short-lived this year. All the snow and ice has melted; There’s nothing to skate, ski or snowboard on anymore. So as the rain showers drizzle, don’t forget to wear your stylish and functional rain boots. Dressing for the weather can make you feel like one part of your life is coordinated, even when your school and workload is chaotic.

This Fashionista’s outfit is showing off vibes from across the pond. Wellington boots and a trench coat is the ultimate British ensemble. British street style is always in; Just take a glance at Jourdan Dunn, Jane Birkin and Michelle Dockery from Downton Abbey. In addition, her Zara plaid scarf and Gap trench coat are reminiscent of Burberry’s classic, tailored designs. The black rain boots are the sensible waterproof addition where you can walk through campus without a fret.

To style the black rain boots, this Fashionista decided to incorporate color throughout her look. Her headband, scarf and bright red lips makes the overall look more coveted. Get yourself out of winter’s lackluster mood and into springtime’s cheery hues. Finishing off her look is a satchel bag packed with her go-to notebook and black gel pens for class. All in all, Ilana Glazer’s cover of “It’s Raining Men” on Lip Sync Battle is the epitome of this outfit.

How To: Make a splash by throwing on a beige trench coat, and most importantly, wear a pair of rain boots to slosh through puddles effortlessly. Remember to accessorize with a colorful headband, red lip and satchel bag. Let the rainy weather be your guide.
