ALL IN THE DETAILS: Pretty In Pink

Just like florals, pastel colors such as pink are not groundbreaking… or is it? Pink has been a spring staple for what seems like forever but for a very good reason. Pink, like neutrals goes with everything, and ever since Pantone released rose quartz as the color of the year, I have seen pinks in all hues make a strong statement in peoples’ looks.

A pink piece or accessory can make any outfit pop and is a simple solution to revamping your wardrobe. This Fashionista rocks a coral pink skinny jean with her breezy chambray shirt layered over a simple white T-shirt and neutral colored booties. Her accessories were kept simple but I like that she chose blues and turquoise as a subtle way to take this outfit to the next level. Even her backpack went so well with this entire ensemble. While normal denim would have made this look, well normal, the pink really jumps out and adds a feminine touch to her outfit. The wonderful thing about these jeans is that they are so versatile! You can dress them up for a more sophisticated look or pair them with a slouchy sweater and booties to give off a more laid back vibe.

Pink is also perfect for any occasion, you can wear pink jeans to brunch, class, a shopping trip or even to go work. I love the fact that this Fashionista, rather than just wearing a pink bracelet or pink bag, went bold with a pink jean. Miranda Priestly may have scoffed but I truly think pink is groundbreaking!

How To: If you are going out on a first date and want to stand out, pair a pink skinny jean with a white off-the-shoulder top and neutral-tone wedges. Keep your accessories simple to really make the jeans stand out. This look is versatile enough to go to dinner and a movie or check out a local band around town. Pink truly is a staple in any wardrobe. Now I just need to find myself a pair of pink skinnies!
