ALL IN THE DETAILS: Pop of Sheer

April 8th, 2016 at 2:00am

As the Easter Bunny just hopped away, this Fashionista’s spring style is taking its place in the spotlight. As our spring has been a bit chilly lately, it’s more like a spring winter hybrid if you ask me; We are seeing longer sweaters later than normal.

We see our Fashionista rocking a white quarter-sleeved sweater with a bit of see-through material on the bottom. This pop of sheer makes it go from a normal white sweater to a statement piece in the outfit. With the sweater, she is wearing a dark blue jean, the dark color of the jean contrasts with the light sweater making the focus stay on the statement piece. The black open toed booties are the definition of this spring winter hybrid that I mentioned before. We see the booties as a great use in the winter but adding the open toe and the wooden heel makes it seem a bit more spring-like. The color of the shoes is a great choice because it keeps the pattern of the lower down the darker but it also makes sure that the statement piece is the shirt. The accessories added to this outfit are a gold Michael Kors watch that I envy all of the time, and a ruby ring that was passed down from her mother. The small pieces of jewelry add a pop of color to this outfit without outshining the main pieces.

How To: This look is one that is easy to imitate, but get your favorite white sweater and pair it with a nice dark jean. Any dark shoe you own will look great with this outfit but if you want to skip the accessories, you can make the shoes your pop of color as well.
