ALL IN THE DETAILS: May Flowers

It’s that time of year again. The weather is finally warm enough to break out our favorite floral sundresses, and we know summer is on the way. However, before we can fully embrace the joy of May flowers, we have to make it through a month of April showers. Before you get too bummed, there’s still a way to show off your florals, even when it’s pouring outside! As Hilary Duff once sang, “Let the rain fall down and wake my [floral] dreams.” At least, I’m pretty sure that’s how the song goes. Like, 99 percent sure.

This Fashionista is totally making the floral look work for this rainy day. My personal favorite touch is how she accessorized her adorable floral dress with a beautiful Betsey Johnson tulip necklace. To complete her flower power style, she added a long black raincoat and black rain boots to balance out the lightness of the rest of her look. I know, personally, if I don’t find a way to make my rainy days fun, I will spend the whole day hiding out in bed, binge watching Netflix. If you have places to go and people to see, florals are a guaranteed way to put yourself in a good mood while brightening up the gloom. This Fashionista is proving that no matter what, you can’t let the rain stop you from doing your thing.

How To: Feeling the need to mix up your typical rainy day attire? Florals are the ultimate solution to solving rainy day blues. If you’re feeling a dressier look, a floral dress under a rain jacket should be your go-to. If you want a more casual feel, you can never go wrong with a floral blouse or T-shirt, rain boots and ripped jeans!
