ALL IN THE DETAILS: Let's Get Some Shoes

First of all, sorry for the throwback in the title. I know you’re going to probably have that internet jam stuck in your head all day, so I’m sorry for that. But, seeing how popular white Converse are, and seeing this Fashionista rock an outfit around them, it felt necessary to pay homage to that hit.

White Converse are common place on a college campus. They’re super comfortable, but you won’t have to sacrifice style in order to have happy feet all day long. Plus, they’re the perfect shoe for this in between phase as we go from winter to spring. They aren’t as covering as boots, but they aren’t nearly as airy as sandals would be. They’re also beyond versatile. I’ve seen them worn with dresses, skirts, shorts, playsuits or, as this Fashionista is rocking, jeans and a sweater.

This outfit goes along with the transition from winter to spring, since the sweater will keep you warm on top, but the ripped jeans make for a breezy situation. This Fashionista went for a fairly muted color palette, with a light denim wash and light gray sweater to complement her white Converse. Her white watch also matches the overall color scheme of the outfit, and makes the outfit look slightly more put together.

My favorite thing about my white Converse? I’ve had them for a few years, and they’re not particularly white anymore, but they still look rad. This Fashionista’s pair is nicely worn in, just highlighting the fact that these shoes can be worn for a long, long time. Not only that, but you’ll want to keep reaching for them day after day, and they’re super easy to break in.

How To: It’s pretty hard to go wrong with white Converse. I encourage you to let your creativity flow! However, this Fashionista is a source of major outfit inspiration, so recreating her look is one of the many options for styling white Converse. Pair light wash denim with a lightly colored top, and add your favorite accessories! Don’t forget your white Converse—high-top or low-top—and go out to enjoy the nice weather!
