ALL IN THE DETAILS: Leather and Lace

Lace has always been a staple in our summer wardrobes, season after season. Now moving into the cooler seasons, leather has always been a fall staple, and one that has always been a favorite of mine as well as a favorite of my featured Fashionista. In this look, this lovely Fashionista took two elements that usually are not paired together to create a soft, dreamy look that still packs a punch. Instead of a traditional black leather, she went with a cognac brown and kept the shoes dainty and strappy. I love how the brown complements the softness of the lace while still keeping the edge factor. She kept this look casual but elevated, so you could take it for a night out on the town, a date night or even to your favorite coffee shop if you have some last minute studying to do.

The reason that I love this look has a lot to do with the jeans as the centerpiece, while the details give the look more dimension. Cuffing the legs on the denim adds the casual element that this Fashionista wanted to keep this look day-to-night. The lace in the top gives the look a touch of femininity, and the silver earrings paired with the look provides a touch of delicacy too. The soft leather accents might just be my favorite part about her style, especially with the block heel that still keeps your feet feeling as good as they look. The belt that this Fashionista chose keeps her outfit cohesive, and it gives the look a little bit more of an added touch of detail.

To finish off her look, she went with a neutral eye to reflect the softness of the outfit in her makeup, and she added a nude-pink lip color to add a small touch of color to her look. She also went with long, soft curls to add just a touch of polish, and to keep the look young, fun and flirty. The only thing left to add is a cool drink to combat the warm weather, and this Fashionista is ready to take on the day.
