ALL IN THE DETAILS: Hats Off To Fall

Fashinoistas and Fashionistos, we have finally made it to our favorite season, FALL! The perfect time of year to get the most out of our favorite pieces. Once it hits under seventy degrees, I whip out my thigh-socks, sweaters and beanies; the whole get-up. I love the transitional look of bringing summer styles into the latest fall fashions. But, every year I get so excited to mix and match my new clothes for the season and I swear the amazing weather is gone in a week. I mean seriously, I was about sweat to death last week on my walk to class, in 90 degree weather! The next morning I was hunting for the warmest sweater I could find to keep warm in the low 60s.

Anyways, with a cool breeze in the air comes our cozy, chic cold weather accessories. Wide brim hats have been on the rise in recent years after being spotted in our favorite catalogues and on celebs like Suki Waterhouse and Beyoncé. Now that we’ve all grown the courage to sport them, wide brim hats are clearly making a statement this season.

This Fashionisto’s hat looks amazing with his simple T-shirt and jogger combination. When I first approached him for some #RAD photos, his initial response was, “Is it because I’m wearing a hat?” It’s true, the floppy hat draws everyones attention and really completes any look! Us Fashionistas love this trend because we can let the hat do the talking and keep our outfits casual yet chic. In the words of Julia Roberts, “I enjoy hats. And when one has filthy hair, that is a good accessory.”

How To: If the wide brim hat seems too much of a statement for you, try out a smaller style at first. A felt fedora or bowler hat will you help ease you into the the trend.
