ALL IN THE DETAILS: Give Him The Cold Shoulder

Well Fashionistas/os, we’ve finally made it to that time of year. Morning are frosty and cold, the leaves are changing, pumpkins are on every porch and by noon the temperature has gone from sweater weather to sunny. I don’t know about you all, but I’m getting kind of sick of bundling up in the morning only to nearly sweat to death halfway through the day. Most of us are too picky to choose one outfit a day, let alone multiple. So, the solution? Cutouts.

Cold-shoulder tops and sweaters are the perfect remedy for the midday temperature switches. The sweater provides warmth, but the cutouts allow for just enough breeze to keep you cooled down. This Fashionista is sporting a cold-shoulder sweater in a very light plum color. While the sweater is thick enough to provide warmth, the cutouts allow it to be worn during warmer weather. Transitional seasons are difficult to pick outfits for, so versatile pieces like this are perfect for those in-between temperatures. This Fashionista pairs the sweater with dark wash jeans and marled gray wooly socks tucked into tan combat boots. The look is finished off with a signature fall trend: velvet. Because of the thick knit of the sweater and the cutout detail, a simple velvet choker is the perfect finishing accessory.

This trend is widely available and super easy to achieve! Cutouts are all the rage and now that the seasons are changing, cutout items like sweaters and long sleeves will be easier to pick out! Pick a jewel toned sweater to match with your favorite pair of jeans and then add some fall accessories. Chokers, socks or a statement headband will complete your outfit.
