ALL IN THE DETAILS: Feline-Chic

Amidst a myriad of students sporting T-shirts and athletic shorts, I spotted this Fashionista! Her leopard print maxi dress immediately caught my attention. I love dresses as they are one of the easiest clothing items to throw on when you have no clue what to wear, are in a crunch for time or are stuck wearing the same rotation of tops and bottoms. When worn with the right accessories, a dress can be the perfect option for school.

This light, flowy dress has an empire waistline that emphasizes her figure and also gives the illusion that she is taller even in simple black flats. Her hair, in a soft bun with face framing strands, draws focus to the thin spaghetti-strapped V-neck front and V-shaped back of the dress and gives a more feminine touch when paired with minimal jewelry. Her classic and functional black bag, containing her essentials plus school materials, adds fierceness to this flirty look. This Fashionista’s look is effortless and chic and can be easily transitioned from a daytime look to a girl’s night out!

I hope you choose to have fun with animal print! There’s been an absence of print lately in favor of a more neutral palette, but I believe we should incorporate some into our closets, even if it may be minuscule.

How To: Focusing on the thin spaghetti straps and loud pattern, I found a similar dress from Forever 21. When paired with this bag from H&M, you’ll have achieved the perfect combination of fierce and feline as the Fashionista above! But if leopard print head-to-toe isn’t your fancy there are other ways to emulate this look. You can opt for a more an equally classy item such as this skirt from Choies or an everyday style like these H&M joggers. Pair either with a white or black V-neck, chiffon shirt or crop top and you’re good to go! For an even more casual look you can pick up this shirt from H&M  to wear with denim, khakis or leggings. Even a pocketful of print can spice up your day!
