I don’t know about you, but I absolutely love winter. Being from Southern California, the only winter I know is 50 degrees and up, but studying here in New York has given me a certain appreciation for winter. Who doesn’t love bundling up with a nice cup of cocoa to watch the snow fall? While staying indoors is the warmer option, those like me love to venture into the cold and enjoy the winter time. This, of course, requires the perfect cold weather apparel.

What I love most about the colder climate is the fashion that comes with it; think about it, winter brings about a whole new platform for fashion! I am new to this whole “it actually gets cold here” feeling, so I’m always looking for a great winter look that’s fashion forward but will keep you warm and dry.

This Fashionista does exactly that. Her turtleneck sweater keeps her cozy and chic, something we can all appreciate in these chilly winter months. She pairs this with a velvet, ornate cardigan that so effortlessly adds another dimension to this look. A simple pair of black leggings keeps this Fashionista comfortable as she ventures around New York City.

Let’s talk about the accessories. If you’re looking for the perfect fall or winter bootie, here it is. This metallic bootie with a jeweled heel is the perfect pop of color in this Fashionista’s outfit. She further accessorizes with a perfect plethora of jewelry; don’t be afraid to break out those rings and bracelets! The final touch that ties it all together is a silver statement necklace.

There’s one final element of a fashion-forward look fit for winter, and that’s having the perfect outerwear. This Fashionista ties together the outfit with her fur trimmed coat: both stylish and the perfect garment for these chilly months.

If there’s one thing to take away from this Fashionista, it’s that weather can totally add a new element of style to your apparel. So embrace it! Throw on a fabulous jacket and conquer the world. Have a wonderful semester!
