ALL IN THE DETAILS: Cheetahs Always Prosper

The best way to stay in style is to always, always stay comfortable. While items like body-con dresses, silicon bralettes and peek-a-boo tops may be on-trend, there is nothing wrong with a great pair of boyfriends and a relaxed T-shirt. While some may think of this as a very “mom” look, I, and many others see this look to be a classic statement. There is so much to do with a look like this Fashionista’s—you can dress it up, dress it down, run errands and even hit the town.

This Fashionista has opted for a very classic, day look, all enhanced by simple, statement accessories and bold color accents. Finding a great pair of boyfriend jeans can be a task, but it is well worth the search once found! While denim can be costly, it is always worth the premium price if your looking for long lasting pieces. Easily paired with these jeans, this Fashionista has teamed up with a relaxed, “fancy” graphic T-shirt to continue to give off the effortless essence. But the cohesion of this look is found with the addition of bold prints and pops of color. Pairing a red lip with a red pointed-toe flat keeps the eye moving and elongates the look. While this Fashionista is only 5’3”, one would never guess, even with a typically shortening pant on. And to take this look to the max, her statement jacket, perfect weight for the transitional weather, makes all the detailing pop. Cheetah print, while it can be gaudy and almost costume-like if not used right, can be the perfect statement, no matter the article of clothing. And to make keep the eye on the important details, she has stayed true to simple silver accessories.

While its nice to dress for success, that doesn’t mean you have to be uncomfortable! Everyday, one doesn’t have to rock the skinnies or squeeze pencil skirt. It’s a-okay to vibe with a relaxed look, and still look as classic and presentable as this Fashionista.

How To: Wanting to duplicate a look like this? Take the time to find the perfect pair of boyfriend jeans. The specific cut and color is dependent on your shape and how you desire the jeans to look. For me personally, I go up two sizes to get the ultimate loose look, but can still keep it cinched at the waist with the perfect belt. Next, find a graphic tee that speaks to you! Not into text on clothing? No problem—simply find a loose T-shirt or tank top, capitalizing on natural colors. Lastly, find a fun printed, breathable sweater. As we move into spring, now is the perfect time to find different prints, textures and colors on lighter layering items. And to tie it all together, pick a lip and shoe that complements the whole look. Subtle is always classy, but adding a pop of color is always fun!
