It may be November, but we are hanging onto summer warmth here on campus for as long as we can. Since temperatures have been nice enough to walk around in just a light jacket, we’ve been soaking up the last few days of sun before the sky turns gray. The best place to go while it’s still nice is the Memorial Union Terrace that overlooks the water, which in just a few short weeks will be frozen over.
I found this Fashionista on the dock rocking a feminine striped blouse, perfect for this lake-front location. Her black and white striped top takes a typically professional—or even more nautical top—and makes it more fun with the deep V-neck that is tied up with a matching string. The lace-up front is a popular trend right now, yet this Fashionista’s top is different than other more casual ones I’ve seen before as it accompanies a silky, long sleeve blouse. The lace-up detail makes the top easy to move from daytime classes to a night out with friends and gives a flirty element to what would have otherwise been a plain blouse.
This Fashionista paired her top with more casual, light wash denim which made the look better for a chill day relaxing by the terrace. Her black booties and purse tie in with her black blouse, and the gold details on her boots and watch complete her look. She also added unique star earrings to further make her look stand out from the rest.
