ALL IN THE DETAILS: Black and Moo-d

Unless you’re Rihanna, its pretty much impossible to walk on grass in heels; Jesus could walk on water, Rihanna can walk in stilettos on anything. Unfortunately we’re not all that talented and wouldn’t consider pumps appropriate footwear for out in a field. Simple, yet classy is a go-to easy look, even when you’re walking around the wilderness perhaps.

When I spotted this city girl on the farm, her outfit definitely didn’t fit in, and that’s what I liked about her.  Usually the only black you’ll see on the farm is on the cows, but this Fashionista was rocking a see-through lace bodysuit that looked put together but not too overdressed.  With the square neckline, it leaves enough room for a dainty necklace to perfectly frame her chest.  The real star of the outfit is the nude blazer; the waterfall lapel leaves it looking effortless and not as structured as a regular blazer would be.  The waterfall neck line is definitely becoming trendy and its a detail that really pulls the whole look together.  As I said earlier, glamorous heels may not be the best option for this environment, so this Fashionista kept it cute and casual with a pair of cream high-top Converse.  With an easy over-the-shoulder bag, this Fashionista is ready for whatever adventures the day throws at her, including going to the farm.

The simple elegance of this look is what makes it successful, while the jacket is the focus point of the outfit, it doesn’t pull attention from the other pieces as a whole. Overall, this Fashionista pulled off a sophisticated look that I’m sure even the cows appreciate.

How To: A little bit of lace goes a long way.  If you have that one piece in you’re closet that you’re a little too shy to pull out, tone it down with a neutral jacket or coat on top.
