STYLE GURU BIO: Hannah Bullion

Hello, hello Fashionista/os, and happy fall! My name is Hannah Bullion and I’m currently studying Professional Writing at Michigan State University. This is my first semester interning as a Style Guru with CollegeFashionista, and I’m thrilled to have this opportunity and begin my everlasting journey into the world of fashion.

I’m a lover of a good cup of coffee, good conversation and, of course, a great outfit. I’m also a bit of a social media geek—always looking for the perfect Instagram shot. When my head is not buried in a textbook, you can probably find me with a cup of coffee in hand, shopping for my next best outfit. I love to spend my free time exploring new places and finding new coffee shops around town. I’m a sucker for passionate people and my life motto is simple: stay kind.

Growing up, I’ve always loved fashion and writing, but it wasn’t until recently I realized how I can put them together and make a real career out of my interests. With a lot of hard work and big dreams, I plan to take my passions and turn them into a career in the most exciting city in the world—New York City.

Besides for magazines such as Vogue, social media has a huge influence on my style inspiration. Following fashion bloggers and online publications has given me easy access to fashion all around the world, which I love to translate into my day-to-day outfits. As for my personal style, I’m all over the place. Some days I prefer cool girl classic and other days, I love a good bohemian print. My fashion icons range from Alexa Chung and Cara Delevingne to everyday people I see on my Instagram feed.

My favorite part about the start of the school year is the transition from summer to fall—putting away tank tops for sweaters and throwing tights under dresses. Currently, I’m obsessed with bare legs and booties, which is what I achieved in this look with a bohemian frock dress from Urban Outfitters and heeled black booties. My favorite summer staple that I carry into every season is a great pair of sunglasses, and recently, I invested in a pair from Quay Australia. They add an effortless feminine touch to any outfit, regardless the season. To add a little bit of boho to any outfit, I suggest adding any sort of layered necklace like I did here.

To me, fashion is a way to unapologetically share your personal creativity and who you are with one glance. It’s more than what you throw on in the morning. I can’t wait to get to know more Style Gurus and find the next best outfit on campus!
