STYLE GURU STYLE: Beach Bohemian

Spring Break is in full force for most universities in the United States. Fashionistas are in desperate need of the spring’s hottest trend, bohemian style, for jet setting on vacation with friends. Rachel Zoe’s spring ready-to-wear collection is full of classic oversized looks, with bohemian prints and bright hues. Zoe’s collections tend to be dedicated to her persona, and her inspiration comes from her own personal style. Most designers have a muse or an inspiration in mind for each collection, but the only element that changes for Zoe is the location of her inspiration. In this collection, the location was clearly bohemia.

Rachel Zoe is my ultimate inspiration, so I went for the bohemian look resembled in her spring collection. I incorporated a bohemian pattern with earthy tones and pops of purple and gold hues with my maxi dress. Being a lover of the all-black ensemble, this loo,k with bright tones and a loud pattern, was out of my comfort zone, but taking the risk was all the fun. Incorporating color with the spring’s newest trends is taking my fashion journey to the next level. I have crossed over from having New York-inspired style to Los Angeles risk-taking style.

My closet transformation has been taken over by clay-colored leather. For example, check out my wedges. They match the majority of my closet making them the perfect versatile pair of shoes. Also, the Rebecca Minkoff cross-body bag is ideal for going to dinner or taking a stroll to the beach shops while on spring break. It is the perfect size to fit all you need for a beach adventure.

Whatever you are doing for your Spring Break, take a peek at Rachel Zoe’s spring collection to gain inspiration as the weather gets warmer and the nights get longer. Bohemian style is here to stay for the spring and summer months. Gain inspiration early to assure you are setting trends on your campus.
