ALL IN THE DETAILS: Hello Cold Days

I think we can all agree that winter weather can be pretty brutal. Having to walk around a college campus in Pennsylvania isn’t exactly what I’d call fun. Despite the below zero temperatures in the morning, resist the urge to throw sweatpants and an oversized hoodie on to go to class. There are still many ways to look fashionable in the middle of winter!

It’s so easy to put on a long cardigan and top it off with a scarf to keep warm in the cold weather, like this Fashionista!  We all know ripped jeans are so cute, but they aren’t very practical when trying to stay warm. These jeans are perfect because you still get the edgy look, but the patches keep your legs from getting too cold. Even when you’re all bundled up, lipstick is a great way to pull an outfit together. This Fashionista matched her lipstick with the neutral colors of her outfit to spice it up a bit.

Of course when it’s super cold, there’s no way to avoid not wearing the heaviest parka you can find. Jackets can be a great staple piece in your winter wardrobe! Whether it be a parka, peacoat, or a topcoat, make it a part of your outfit. It will add to your outfit, and keep you warm as well! In my opinion, shoes are the most important thing when it comes to picking out an outfit. Booties are my go-to for the winter, but for those whose ankles might get a little too cold, you can either pair them with fuzzy socks or go for a higher boot! Combat boots and riding boots are also great options for the perfect winter outfit.

My last fashion tip is to invest in some good quality winter gloves. They might not be the most stylish part of your outfit, but you’ll thank yourself when your hands aren’t frozen from walking in the cold!
