STYLE GURU STYLE: Fall Into Fashion

Fall into fashion with one of my now favorite outfits to wear with this beautiful fall weather. With the leaves changing from greens to browns, I love being able to start incorporating these colors into this season’s wardrobe. Fall also calls for booties, riding boots, knee-high boots and more, which I was happy I was able to include in this look.

My look was inspired by the Chanel Fall 2016 ready-to-wear runway show. Karl Lagerfeld put together an amazing show that overall had a sort of equestrian feel to it. He used boots, skirts, dresses, hats and an abundance of colors in different combinations to display the look he was going for. The appearance of riding boots, skirts and shades of brown and denim allowed me to put together my ideal fall outfit.

I paired my denim, lace-up shirt with my corduroy, button-up skirt to incorporate the color scheme that stood out to me the most in the collection. My Michael Kors riding boots seemed like the perfect fit with my shirt and skirt—seeing as the models in the runway show were all wearing similar-looking ones.

Replacing the hat accessory that I saw, used commonly in the Chanel show, I decided to add something that goes better with my personal style. My favorite brown cross-body bag and leather black choker necklace went with the color scheme I was going for, and I believe complemented my outfit overall.

So grab a denim shirt, a corduroy button-up skirt and some riding boots, and you’re fall ready.
