STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK: Jean Shorts and a T-Shirt 2.0

At the end of the summer, one of my favorite stores, called LF, has a huge sale in which they practically liquidate their entire inventory and sell their insanely pricey clothes for insanely cheap. Naturally, it is a mad house of aggressive and fashionable young women, and also a great place to get some great deals.

This Fashionista got that stunning top at the LF sale, and I think the way she wore it was simply an amped up version of wearing a t-shirt and jeans. Because that’s exactly what it is! Especially for going to school, comfort can take over and looking stylish can take the backseat. Just like in my last article, this outfit is another way to get the best of both worlds.

Mesh is back in style, and there are ways to wear it without looking trashy. The bralette she chose to wear under the top was a good choice since it doesn’t show too much cleavage, and it also matches the black of her shirt so the outfit flows well.  Plus, the sparkly stars are just so darn cute! The jean shorts she chose are also very non-trashy. They aren’t too short or tight, and the frays are in line with the distressed trend without having holes in the butt or anything (shout out to Kylie Jenner).

Lets have a moment of appreciation for the pink suede shoes. Thank you that is all.

Last but not least, this Fashionista wore a titanium aura quartz gem around her neck which she had wire wrapped to make into a beautiful necklace. I love anything Betsey Johnson, so the backpack is one of my favorite parts of the outfit, aside from the stars of course. I like how her accessories weren’t too matchy-matchy, but instead featured pops of color and still blended cohesively in the outfit.

“Jean shorts and a t-shirt are an awesome combination for a daytime outfit, and this shirt makes the outfit go from dull to shooting star!”
