The Overcoat Style That Will Get You Through The Whole Winter

As fall transitions into winter, there is always a period between moving on from our leather moto’s and bomber jackets and dusting off the floor-length puffer jacket that will undoubtedly become the single most worn item come January and February. This is where the mid-weight overcoat comes in. This year, I’ve been loving the oversized peacoat as a go-to topper. Its thick wool material makes it super cozy while the boxy and slightly oversized shape give it just enough room to layer over sweaters.

Did someone say “layering”? Ah yes, the holy grail of transitional season dressing and a trick that Fashionista’s everywhere know all too well. It’s no surprise that the oversized peacoat looks even better the more you layer under and over it. Chic turtlenecks? Why yes, please. Soft scarves and knit beanies? The more the merrier. The best way to wear this overcoat style is by layering all your favorite winter pieces.
