STYLE GURU STYLE: Flirty And Feminine

Some days can be just plain rough: resulting in joggers and a necessary Starbucks run (venti, please). That said, slipping into a lace dress or a soft skirt ,when you can, is divine. I love the way walking to class or going out with friends in flirty fabrics makes me feel. It is the ultimate confidence boost. Every girl should stay in touch with her feminine side!

The most recent Alexander McQueen collection for spring 2016 took me back to the Victorian era. The entire show painted an image of a modernized Gibson Girl with a color palette of light neutrals, soft ruffles, the occasional floral print and delicate yet detailed silhouettes. Feminine heaven. All that was missing? Fields full of flowers, yummy desserts and pink champagne.

As much as my style evolves, I can’t seem to stay away from light feminine pieces. Especially feminine garments with a touch of bohemian! I recently bought a dress from Forever 21. It was a steal and it stands on it’s own. The best part of  the dress is the crochet mock neck. It’s a simple detail that changes the entire look of the dress. Seriously, every girl with short hair needs to try a mock neck. You will be obsessed.

I added the layered necklace to create a focal point. Don’t get me wrong the dress definitely speaks for itself.  But I’m a girl who likes to make a statement. And ,with that, I slip on my black boots to balance the feminine flair and voilà!

Get My Look: 1. A feminine white dress. 2. Black booties. 3. A layered necklace.
