STYLE GURU STYLE: Bad Hair Day

I’ll be honest; I am very lazy when it comes to my outfits during the week. Between my work and class schedule, I find it hard to find time to plan and implement a killer outfit. I also value sleep over everything, so if it means catching a few more z’s, then sweatpants it is.

I love this outfit because it’s simple, comfortable, and fashionable. My white bodysuit from Forever 21 stays tucked into my jeans nicely. My black jeans are from Urban Outfitters; I’ve had them since my sophomore year of high school and they’re honestly the best jeans I’ve ever purchased. After almost six years, they’re perfectly worn-in and still fit me like a glove. Since the weather is still kind of chilly here in Connecticut, I added my favorite denim jacket from Forever 21 over my top. This piece is so versatile; I swear I’ve worn it close to a thousand times! For my shoes, I chose my very worn-in (i.e. dirty) adidas Superstars. They are hands down the most comfortable sneakers I’ve ever owned, and as you can see I’ve gotten a lot of use out of them. To accessorize, I put on a black fishnet choker from Forever 21. I love chokers because they’re very simple, but add an edgy feel to the outfit. Finally, to top it all off (literally), I threw on my bright pink ball cap from Love Culture that reads “bad hair day.” Today was one of those bad hair days, so I thought the hat was fitting, and it added a pop of color to my otherwise neutral outfit.

This outfit embodies my casual, yet trendy style. I love experimenting with neutrals and pops of colors, as well as trying out the athleisure style that I’ve been obsessing over lately. And when in doubt, I know that a great baseball cap can go a long way.
