STYLE GURU BIO: Eva Thomas

Hello, my fellow fashion lovers! My name is Eva, and I am (I can’t quite believe it yet) a senior at the University of Minnesota, where I am studying Journalism and Spanish. I feel like it was just yesterday that I was a freshman on campus, trying to find my way around a campus that was double the size of my hometown. And now, as a senior, I am prepping to venture out into the real world—size yet unknown.

I am so excited to be returning for a fourth semester with CollegeFashionista and even more excited that I will have a great group of Style Gurus alongside me at the University of Minnesota this fall. It doesn’t seem like much time has passed since writing my first STYLE GURU BIO, but so much has changed since then. Stopping fashionable students on the street has become such an easy and fun task, and my own style has become a bit more out there. No longer am I afraid or hesitant to wear what I really love, fearing what other people will think.

I lived in a different city for three months, and I learned so much about myself and was incredibly inspired by the bustling Windy City. So after a summer spent in the amazing city of Chicago, working closely with the CollegeFashionista team, I am more than ready to finish this year strong. The style I came across in Chicago was anything but simple. Each area of the city had a different vibe to it (which I loved), so there was something new every day, whether it was my favorite platform sandals, a unique jumpsuit or an amazing distressed jean and T-shirt combo. You will most definitely find these pieces as part of my wardrobe now.

So let’s start this new semester off with some serious style, and I can’t wait to share with you all the fashions and Fashionistas/os I capture this time around.
