I have a feeling we’ll be seeing a lot more vests this season. After all, spring is a transitional season that comes in-between the cold of the winter and the heat of the summer, and what’s more transitional than simply removing the sleeves from your favorite winter looks? Vests give you the slight warmth you need when those spring time breezes and rains become a bit too much, but they don’t overwhelm you.
This Fashionista has created her entire outfit around her vest. Vests tend to demand a lot of attention, so it’s always a good idea to tone down the rest of your pieces. Here, our Fashionista has done this by wearing basics. She has paired some slate blue skinny jeans with a simple black, long sleeve shirt. Her accessories do not overwhelm either. She is wearing black lace-up boots, tucked under her jeans and a tan cross-body messenger bag. Her vest, of course, appears to be made of white wool. It has black leather lining as well as a zipper detailing.
The three kinds of vests we’ll see most this spring will be denim, fur and blazer. The first of these trends, denim will give you a feminine and cute look. Pair a cropped denim vest a plain white cami and a high-waisted floral skirt. Finish off the look with some tan gladiator sandals and you’ve got the perfect springtime outfit. A fur vest gives off a much more chic and sophisticated vibe. Pair a big, fluffy fur vest with your favorite long-sleeve blouse and a pair of black skinny jeans. Add some high-heel ankle boots and a floppy hat and viola; you’re the model of modern elegance. A blazer vest allows you to add a casual element to your work look. Throw a blazer vest over a short-sleeve blouse. Pair it with some chic baggy trousers and stiletto sandals and you’ll be the one bringing fashion to the workplace.
Vests are just one of many fun trends to try out this spring so don’t miss out!
