Style Advice of the Week

It’s hard to think of spring and not think beautiful blooming flowers. As the snow begins to melt and the greens begin to unveil themselves, the blossoming of the most gorgeous of tulips and daisies and roses brings some color back into our world. One trend that I love that we’ve seen recently is the honoring of all of our favorite flowers on all sorts of garments and accessories.

This week I found a Fashionista doing just that on a bit warmer weekend here in Tampa. Pairing an adorable Urban Outfitters floral dress with Steve Madden combat boots, this little lady showed off her favorite pieces from both winter and spring! Adding a denim vest to mix things up and keeping her accessories simple, this Fashionista’s ensemble was weekend perfection. I really love that she threw on that hot pink lip — it’s a great way to brighten up your look and feel totally put together!

Now I know you all are ready to put on your best fabulous floral looks so here’s some fun pieces to help you get the ball rolling! To go for a similar look to our Fashionista, try out this floral dress from Forever 21. Pair it with light suede ankle boots and a denim jacket and you’re ready to head out for shopping at the outdoor mall or lunch in the park with your friends. Another fun way to do florals is with a circle skirt! Try this one from Urban Outfitters paired with a maroon cropped sweater and tan flats for a cute girly look this spring. One other fun way to do florals is in an edgy trouser. Go for a pair like this from Zara that are perfect for dressing down during the day and dressing up with black booties and red lips for a night out!

All in all, I think you simply can’t go wrong with fun florals this spring. They are great for mixing and matching and trying with so many different looks for day or night. The best part is that they work for any girls (or guys) personal style so bring you into every floral ensemble you put together this semester. Stay florally fresh Fashionistas/os!
