BEAUTY BAR: 50 Shades of Gray

Gray hair: a horrifying natural phenomenon awaiting the aging or a fresh, new trend? For decades, women and men have been dying their strands to conceal their age from society, but recently, gray hair has become such a hit—possibly the new black. Celebrities, such as Dascha Polanco and Karrueche Tran, have been spotted sporting the new do.

You might be asking yourself, “Can I really pull off this bold hair color?” To that I answer, “YES!” If you find the right shades that complement your face and skin tone, it will look amazing! And I’m sure Mr. Christian Grey would approve, as well.

This Fashionista most definitely embodies the perfect combination of grays. The light silver and grayish tones enhance her beautiful skin color while still remaining subtle, yet noticeable.

Gray hair: embrace it or hide it? It’s a natural occurrence that’s going to happen to everyone, so why not start prematurely? If you have the confidence to pull it off or are even ready for something creative, then I say, go for it! Also, with fall around the corner, gray hair is the perfect neutral to match with the arriving dark colors! As the saying goes, “a little change never hurt nobody.”

The once dreaded, age defying color is now making a positive statement. Times have changed, and a hair revolution has begun.

What’s on the BEAUTY BAR: To pull off this fab hairstyle, all you need is a box of hair-dye and/or, depending on your current hair color, maybe some hair bleach. If you’re not ready for the full on do, gray hair chalk can give you a temporary masterpiece. The easiest way would be to let time and stress play its role, but I’m sure we would rather stay RAD.
