ALL IN THE DETAILS: Scarf It Down

September 28th, 2016 at 2:00am

The beginning of the school year brings many difficulties which includes a brand new schedule, new routine and how to dress for the September weather. The in-between summer and fall weather gives you days that are 90 degrees, or days when it’s 60 degrees and raining. While trying to stay cool and fashionable, it can be hard to achieve that fall aesthetic that everyone looks forward to.

Finding the perfect balance to early fall weather is hard to do, but this Fashionisto captured it perfectly. Although the sun is still beating down on us, the autumn weather had begun to show with it’s crisp breezes and the changing of the leaves. This Fashionisto’s scarf was the exact accessory needed to transition the outfit to the fall season. Without tying the scarf around his neck and leaving it draped across his shirt, the scarf was showcased in a different manner compared to when using it during colder months.

When adding a scarf to a look, try starting out with a solid colored one. While you want the scarf to be a focal point of your outfit, you also want it to compliment the rest of your ensemble. Sometimes, busy prints can take away from the rest of your look.

The light color of the scarf also helps in using it as a transition piece from summer to fall. It is often said that white should not be worn after Labor Day, but this Fashionisto proves that wrong. The key to wearing a scarf in early fall is to find one that is a lighter fabric. This Fashionisto completed his look with a pair of white adidas, mirrored Ray-Ban round sunglasses, a chambray shirt and black denim jeans. Altogether, this outfit exudes dapper fall fashion.
