ALL IN THE DETAILS: Dye-ing For Denim

Even though the calendar says spring, that doesn’t mean you should immediately reach for your desired pair of cut-off shorts. Instead, grab your trendy pair of jeans that offer a distinct style to your attire. Plus, your legs will appreciate the extra coverage during those chilly spring days.

One awesome aspect of jeans is that they come in a variety of styles. There is a look for you whether you prefer the classic design of dark blue jeans or the more exclusive appearance of wearing a pair that includes one of the colors of the rainbow. Personally, I love to wear jeans that stand out among all the other college students like acid washed denim.

This Fashionista pulled off the acid-washed denim trend like a fashion pro; her dark blue skinny jeans with swirls of white intermixed with the blue. With a pair of denim like these, she is sure to turn heads. This Fashionista coordinated her jeans with a chambray shirt for that denim-on-denim look. The chambray shirt was a bargain at a thrift store (lucky girl!) that is also flawlessly decorated with a skinny, braided belt for that extra edge of polish to the attire. The belt coincided with her brown, classic Sperry Top-Siders, which are an ideal shoe for the approaching warm weather. The Fashionista topped off the outfit with a dark, classic peacoat and a green knit scarf for those undesired and unexpected chilly days that spring sometimes brings.

All in all, by wearing a modish pair of jeans you might just forget about those cut-off shorts in the back of your closet until summer.

How To: Wear your favorite acid-washed jeans with a chambray shirt for that perfect denim-on-denim look. Slide on a pair of flats, and don’t forget your coat for those frosty spring days.
