3 Ways to Stay Healthy on a Busy Schedule

Living a healthy lifestyle while keeping up with a busy schedule can be both challenging and rewarding at the same time. Whether you’re juggling an internship, social life, and/or summer classes, there are still ways to make time to treat your body in a good way. Although trying to balance all of these activities may seem unattainable, it is worth it in the long run.

1—Write it Out. One way to stay organized and to help keep yourself on track is to keep a journal. Writing things down does wonders for self-esteem and will help mentally prepare you for what you want to accomplish as your end goal. A good tip to getting back on track is to journal out what your health and life goals are that you want to achieve that week. My trick is to write everything out on Sunday nights to start my week off on the right foot! Bonus tip: finding a cute journal or planner will add extra motivation and complete any look!

2—Plan it Out. I’m a natural born planner and organizer (Capricorn problems), which makes it easier to plan my days out whether it’s a gym day, work day, or school day. A super easy and simple habit to form is to set out outfits, food, and other everyday essentials you’ll be using the next day! Laying outfits out, as well as packing a gym bag the night before will help melt time off of your morning routine. Less time to worry equals more time to get ready! Another easy trick is to plan out your meals and snacks for the week or even the night before. Pack healthy snacks like apples and peanut butter, hummus and veggies, or anything that satisfies your cravings.

3—Get Going! Now that you have these ideas to clean up your routine, it’s time to get moving! An easy way to start is to grab that cute journal or planner and write out your schedule and then start penciling in what you want to accomplish. Need an incentive? Buy a cute gym outfit to get yourself back on track! Even though it may seem stressful at times, just remember to take a deep breath and jump back into it!
