Why I Do Yoga Every Day

Spending a least 30 minutes a day exercising has proven itself to improve not only your physical health but your mental health as well. I am not the type of person who has ever enjoyed going out on a run in the morning; cardio has never been my strong suit, but I do value my health. Once I discovered yoga, my workout routine was entirely changed.

It all started with me purchasing a yoga mat. I began by following videos on YouTube that caused me to completely fall in love! Yoga had quickly become part of my daily routine.

It also gave me the perfect excuse to go out and buy cute workout clothes and accessories that were just as adorable!

Not only has yoga has helped me feel like I’m breathing fresh mountain air all the time, it has become the perfect outlet for me to relieve all the stress acquired from school and work combined.

My relationship with yoga flourished during an extremely stressful time in my life. During this time, I had no idea what I wanted to do in school. I was anxious and upset all of the time. I felt like I had no control over anything going on around me. Once I began my daily workouts some of these symptoms became alleviated.

I started to see myself become physically stronger, which helped boost my self-confidence. The physical improvements were great, but my mental health improving was far better in my book. I was happier, more energized, and more focused. All in all, it wasn’t yoga alone that changed the way I was feeling, but it definitely helped and many other aspects of my life seemed to fall into place. I found the importance of self-love and self-care and I’m so glad I did.
