WHAT TO WEAR: Weekend Wear

This Fashionista’s weekend wear attire is not only gorgeous but also comfortable. I don’t know about you but I am all about an outfit with versatility.  The college life can be hectic and laundry availability can be scarce when you have roommates, so an outfit that can last all day is a major plus in my book. This Fashionista’s look is especially great for a day-to-night transition. No sweats or shorts for this lady running errands around campus or lunching outdoors (because how much longer are we going to have this amazing weather?!).

Her MAC Cosmetics sheer and natural look features a medium smoky eye and natural, matte lips. Note how her highlighted ginger hair shows up beautifully throughout her relaxed fishtail braid.

Pair a silky cotton tank top in rich hues for fall with your favorite ankle jeans. Top it off with the always versatileoatmeal unstructured cardigan and accessorize, accessorize, accessorize! This lovely gal is sporting a trendyworld map watch and layering several long and delicate necklaces replacing the past trend of “statement” necklaces. Mixing and matching metals is all the rage, so bring on the yellow gold, silver and rose gold chains with moderately sized pendants, interesting chains and small beads of contrasting colors.

Your booties purchased on sale end of season last year are dying to come out! Pair your cute suede pair (or treat yourself with these cute fringe booties—they are flying off the shelves) to complete this outfit. Again, this look screams, “I’m put together and I know it!” Anyone you encounter could be a future professor, employer or customer when you open your own trendy boutique!

One Simple Change: To take this look from day to night, exchange that cardigan for a long chiffon vest. Also, vamp up your makeup just slightly with gloss and black eyeliner and you are all ready for cocktails with the girls.
