WHAT TO WEAR: Transition Temps

When most people hear October they think pumpkin spice, apple picking, chunky sweaters and boots. In New Orleans however, we have just started to transition out of late summer. As much as I appreciate the warmth I am a bit jealous of those who get to make use of their cozy fall clothing.

In an effort to stay comfy yet cool, this Fashionista has pulled together the perfect look for transition temperatures. A light sweater is a must have piece to top off any outfit and beat the morning chill. She is wearing the two-toned Ionic Cape from Aritzia that is designed to pair with just about anything. It’s no wonder we both own it!

Another fall essential is a good pair of ripped denim. These jeans are ripped across the knees to add an effortless yet edgy look. When shopping for denim always be on the lookout for a quality black wash. They are extremely versatile and can be dressed up or down. Since it isn’t quite time to be tucking jeans into boots, this Fashionista cuffed hers to hit right above the ankle.

My two favorite finishing touches for any look are some rockin’ shoes and a cute bralette. I wear bralettes with practically every top I own, as do most of my friends. A little bit of lace peeking out the top of your shirt adds some extra flare with little to no effort. In terms of shoes, booties are always the way to go. With a classic pair of black booties you are ready to conquer the day.

Go grab your pumpkin spice latte and sweater and enjoy the crisp fall air like a true Fashionista.
