WHAT TO WEAR: Summer

July 1st, 2015 at 2:00am

As summer vacation started for UC San Diego students, I’m back home in the Bay Area to report the latest trends at UC Berkeley! Summer school just started, and the environment on the Berkeley campus is much more tranquil, with less stress and fewer students hustling back and forth between classes. The beautiful Berkeley campus has many grass fields, such as memorial glade, where students could picnic or sit around and chill with friends. It is also exciting to see orientation groups walking around campus, which will make you reminisce about the time when you were in their shoes.

This Fashionista is working the printed shorts trend. The loose shorts are perfect for the summer, as they are both comfortable and stylish additions to the wardrobe. The shorts can easily be paired with a loose tank top or a crop top. When the temperature gets a bit breezy, a denim jacket will give the needed warmth. Lastly, the white Vans, gold choreographic watch and rings are casual and chic way to finish the look off.

This outfit is perfect for the summer, whether that is a relaxing one or one filled with summer classes.

One Simple Change: Many music festivals are occurring during the summer, and the printed shorts would work great for a concert event. By making this outfit more for a music festival, just switch out the Vans with brown booties. Also, accessorize the outfit by taking out the watch and wearing stackable necklaces. Finally, make the outfit more for the concert by leaving out the denim jacket and replacing it with a crochet vest.
