WHAT TO WEAR: Mad for Plaid

Fall-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la. Yes ladies, our beloved season is still in the spotlight—#Thank #The #Lord—but unfortunately not for long! As the final leaves fall and November swoops in, let’s soak in the last of that sweater weather before we have to pull out the parkas.

Our Fashionista sports a timeless tartan shawl, which is slung over the shoulders. Beneath the Fashionista’s rad plaid is a simple black top paired with black denim jeans and a pair of essential booties. Fall fashion is ideal because any simple outfit can be enhanced with the addition of a scarf or cardigan (layers are actually a lifesaver.)

Since we have a lot going on in this ensemble pattern-wise, our Fashionista chooses to accessorize with simple jewelry consisting of Kendra Scott drop earrings and a small pendant necklace in white pearl. A stack of bangles graces our Fashionista’s wrist for another touch of glam.

When styling yourself, the hair and makeup department is certainly not to be overlooked! Our blonde beauty rocks an effortless curl paired with striking dark eye makeup and a bold red lip to pull the look together perfectly. Experimenting with makeup trends and color palettes throughout the year is very important as some looks work differently for each season.

The look that is featured on our Fashionista this month is a perfect go-to for anyone looking for some style inspo. Y’all would be amazed at how drastically a pullover or patterned scarf can change your entire outfit. Remember that shoes are a super important factor to note this season as well, so make sure to go raid the racks at Nordstrom and DSW to find some staple booties to throw on with your skinnies. Scarves, felt hats and a dark lip color are additional must-haves to complete your look.

From one Fashionista to another, I hope y’all have so much fun this month throwing more fabulous ensembles together as we wind down with the fall season. Turkey day is slowly approaching, giving us the perfect opportunity to show our friends and family back home what’s up in the fashion department (Yes, mom, I did spend last week’s grocery money on these new over-the-knee boots…. but I needed them).

Happy early Black Friday shopping ladies!!! It’s our time to shine; I mean, this is practically a holiday dedicated to our needs, so please take this seriously.
