Attending the Fashion Institute of Technology, New York City is considered to be my college campus, which is full of an extremely diverse group of people. Because of this, I am constantly inspired by new looks and trends while on my way to school and I thought that this grungy look was worth capturing.

Currently, high-waisted boyfriend jeans are a huge trend in New York City, and I feel that the cut accentuates her body. For this outfit, she paired her jacket with a black crop top and a chunky pair of black booties. The booties are a suede fabric, which is perfect for the seasons changing from winter to spring. Also, every girl needs a pair of chunky booties that are durable for any terrain.
If you take a closer look, you will notice that she layered a black basic choker with multiple silver ones. This layered effect is a huge trend in New York City, and looks aesthetically pleasing on her neck. Furthermore, this outfit is extremely versatile for class because she can take her denim jacket off if she gets too warm. With the weather always changing, layering clothes is the best option. Also, she could either tie her denim jacket around her waist or slouch it over her shoulders to create a more relaxed look. This Fashionista’s look is inspirational to other people in New York City because it shows she is capable of taking risks.
