WHAT TO WEAR: Give Thanks for Denim

As we all soon sit down to give thanks for what this past year has brought us, we should all have one thing in particular on our list—denim on denim being back in style. Many have mixed emotions about this trend, but I for one am in love with it. Denim on denim is the perfect material for cold weather and can go with just about anything. You can dress it up with heels or dress it down with boots. This Fashionista had the right idea for a family and friends Thanksgiving dinner outfit. She looks cute, comfortable and ready to take on all of the repetitive questions about how classes are going this fall semester.

This Fashionista is wearing a button-up medium-washed jean shirt with a pair of dark wash jeans. She paired with it cute, short booties with fringe to add some flare and a big blanket scarf to add color. The booties are a perfect and comfortable height to walk around all day in but still look sophisticated and not like the basic brown, below-the-knee boot. The scarf adds a perfect fall touch to the outfit and adds the perfect amount of color. The scarf is also ideal for Thanksgiving, late November weather.

The wonderful thing about denim is that just about anything has been seen made out of this material. From shirts and shoes to hand bags and hats, denim will always find a way into our closets. Denim was huge this fall, and I predict denim to stay in fashion throughout the winter and even into the spring with jean jackets. But who are we kidding, denim will never go out of style.
